The Financial Services Authority (FSA), regulator of Oman’s capital market and insurance sector, will participate for the third consecutive year in Khareef Dhofar 2025 through an interactive awareness forum, the ‘Youth Platform for Insurance and Investment.’ The event will take place at Salalah Gardens Mall from 5 August to 11 August, daily from 4 pm to 10 pm.
The platform targets children, teenagers and their families visiting the autumn season, aiming to foster early financial awareness and introduce young individuals to the concepts of insurance and investment through an entertaining and interactive educational approach. It also seeks to engage parents in informative discussions that support the family's role in instilling sound financial principles. This year’s platform will feature a range of diverse activities and programs in collaboration with the Muscat Stock Exchange and Muscat Clearing & Depository Company.
The platform will include a variety of daily activities, most notably the Reading Corner presented by Al Hakawati, a storyteller, where meaningful stories related to insurance and investment, published by the FSA, will be narrated, followed by simple educational activities to reinforce the discussed concepts. The platform will also feature the (Mulim) corner, showcasing the winning projects of the Gulf Smart Investor Award from the past three cycles, along with a series of family-oriented competitions and educational activities that promote financial literacy.
In collaboration with the Muscat Stock Exchange and Muscat Clearing & Depository Company, the platform will also offer specialized events, including expert-led workshops titled ‘Stock Market Adventure’, explanations on how to open an investment account, and daily guidance for visitors with answers to their inquiries regarding trading, clearing and depository services.
The FSA invites all visitors of Khareef Dhofar to attend the platform and take part in its diverse daily activities, which will be announced progressively in the coming days.
