CMA Celebrates its Anniversary

HE Yahya Said Al Jabri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Daqum Special Economic Zone and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Capital Market Authority presided over the annual celebration of the anniversary of CMA which was established on the 9 January 1999. The event was attended by CMA officials, employees and representatives of the sponsors of the Awareness Campaign 2012.

 

The event is organized in recognition of the achievements of CMA and to asses and review the work.  Employees with distinguished performance and those who completes 15 years in service were honoured in addition to the employees who participated in work teams implementing CMA’s projects and programmes during the past year in appreciation of their  efforts and to encourage further efforts for the organization.

 

 

HE Abdullah Salim Al Salmi, Executive President of CMA delivered a speech in which he said that this event, in addition to  honouring employees, is a reminder of the achievements  in the past year and aspiration of ideas for the coming year. The process of life is market by development and growth despite some backlashes from time to time, thus achieving the objects require patience and perseverance and augmenting our ability to work.

 

 

HE added that the core of the development of the organizations is the human resources, hence it is our duty to honour those who work hard and we hope such honouring would be an incentive to further efforts, diligence, devotion and proficiency to achieve the highest level of success.  As long as there are another upcoming day life opportunities would continue. Work environment attains increasing significance and all  major organizations are trying to invent ideas that enhance and promote professional satisfaction which reflects positively on the efficiency and performance of the organization.

 

 

Al Salmi said the training and enhancing  programmes, allowances, promotions and bonuses are means to highlight such significance. In this context we are keen to improve and promote human resources polices to boost confidence of employees in the methods the CMA’s management is applying to achieve best work environment and that professional satisfaction ensures development and success which is the foremost indicator in the evaluation of performance of this organization.

 

He added “ We hope CMA would precede in improving work environment. We believe continued communication and observing a set of values and principles including confidence and creditability  contributes to increasing performance and attaining excellence  to attract more proficiency. We are proud of your performance and we are delighted to honour employees who completed fifteen years in the service of this organization. We appreciate your efforts. We are also delighted to honour  a number of employees with excellent performance. I commend their diligence   and persistence.”

 

 

A Salmi said the nature of CMA work which is characterized by diversity in combining legislation, regulation, audit, accounting,, economics and management whether in the capital market sector or insurance sector is a genuine opportunity  to enrich the experience and knowledge. I urge all to cope with the developments in a changing era to be able to participate in the development of the financial sector in the Sultanate.

 

 

The event was organized for the second year to ensure CMA’s keenness to ascertain the concept of incentives to create health work environment which enables the employees to continue excellence and merit in work as incentives have positive impact on the general performance and increased productivity and in achieving interaction between the employee and the organization to realize the objects of the organization.
