The Capital Market Authority participated in the 11th Meeting of the Committee of the Chairmen of GCC Securities Commissions of the Secretariat General of the GCC which was held in Kuwait.
The Sultanate’s delegation was chaired by HE Sheikh Abdullah Salim Al Salmi, Executive President of the Capital Market Authority and the membership of Sayyid Hamid Sultan Al Busaidy, Acting Director General of Support Services and Acting Director of Oman Corporate Governance and Sustainability Centre OCGSC, Ahmed Ali Al Makhaini the Expert at OCGSC and Mohammed Saif Al Rashdi, Director of Legal Affairs.
The meeting discussed the outcome of the meetings of the Listing, Disclosure and Corporate Governance Team and the Initial Public Offerings Team constituted by the Committee as well as discussion of the developments on the memorandum of understanding between the regulators of stock markets in the GCC states, in addition to discussing the methods for stimulating the work team on training and studies in the regulators of stock markets and the idea of holding an annual forum for GCC stock markets.
