CMA continues training programmes for national employees in the Insurance Sector

The Capital Market Authority has commenced its first training programmes this year for national employees working for the insurance sector by  a three day practical course on Microsoft Excel  to upgrade their skills on  data entry and spreadsheet

The move comes as part of CMA’s strategic plan to enhance the levels of Omanization in the insurance sector “Enabling In Insurance Sector” which will be rendered  during this year as continuation of the training programmes CMA has started in 2015 which resulted in training  more than 400 employees as part of the enabling strategy of Omanis in administrative and technical jobs which rely on Omanization based on training and equipping the employees with the required skills and knowledge.

It is noteworthy that CMA’s policy was a result of assessment of the previous Omanization phases and consideration of the sector’s realities, availability of national cadres as to quality and quantity which reached 69% of the total employees of the sector who employees 1888  as per the statistics of 2015.

However, the majority of the national cadres are in operational jobs and the sector in a position to  accommodate  competencies in senior administrative and technical jobs beyond the operational position thanks to the expansion of the insurance market in the Sultanate during the  past years
