CMA Participates in Employment Opportunities and  Training Exhibition

The Capital Market Authority is participating in the Employment and Training Opportunities Exhibition 2018 by providing  employment opportunities offered by insurance companies and a package of training programmes for job seekers in various specializations such as accounting, management and marketing etc.

CMA’s participation in the exhibition organized by Sultan Qaboos University during the period 5-7 March 2018 is to acquaint the visitors with the roles of capital market and insurance sectors in the national economy as key pillars of the economic development process in addition to introducing the  employment opportunities offered by the sectors for the graduates of management, information technology, finance and accounting.

Rashid Mohammed Al Rashdi, Director of Insurance Institutions Regulation Department said CMA is keen to exploit the participation in the annual exhibit of employment opportunities and training to  market CMA’s vision to enable the national carders working in the insurance sector  and to introduce the work environment of the capital market with focus on insurance sector in line with CMA’s efforts in the execution of Tamkeen Plan which started three years ago.

Al Rashdi said CMA allowed the job seekers to take part in this year’s training programmes. He added the participation this year is coupled with offering 40 employment opportunities offered by insurance companies operating in Oman.

He added the visitor will acquaint with the  employment opportunities available in the insurance sector.

It is note -worthy that the insurance sector achieved Omanization ratio in 2017 at 70%.

CMA is concerned with upgrading the contribution of the sector in the  GDP and in enhancing the economic added value of the sector by applying Omanization policy  based on empowering  the national cadres to take medium and senior roles.
