21 June 2026 – Muscat, Oman: The Financial Services Authority (FSA) today launched the ‘Promising Investor’ summer programme, in collaboration with the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS), Muscat branch, with the participation of 60 male and female students from various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman. The programme spans the period from 21 June to 2 July 2026.

It aims to enhance financial literacy among school students and strengthen their understanding of money management, saving, investment, and financial planning, through an interactive training programme that combines theoretical and practical aspects. It also contributes to building a financially aware generation capable of making informed financial decisions.

The programme saw strong participation from school students across the Sultanate of Oman’s governorates, with participants selected according to specific criteria designed to ensure maximum benefit and enhance diversity in participation.

It includes a range of specialised topics, including an introduction to money and personal budgeting, saving tools and expense management, investment fundamentals, long-term financial planning, risk analysis and financial decision-making, as well as practical simulation of financial markets and the introduction of modern investment tools and techniques. It also features applied workshops delivered by specialists and experts in the financial sector, culminating in the preparation of a comprehensive personal financial plan for each participant.

The Promising Investor programme is part of the FSA’s efforts to promote financial literacy across different segments of society and instil sound financial concepts among younger generations, contributing to the development of a more financially aware generation capable of dealing with future financial challenges and opportunities.

The programme spans over two weeks at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences, Muscat branch, and includes a range of interactive activities and practical applications that enhance the learning experience and connect financial concepts with real-world practice.
