16 June 2026 – Muscat, Oman: The Financial Services Authority (FSA), the Muscat Stock Exchange, and Muscat Clearing and Depository Company held a workshop today titled ‘How to Understand and Read the Prospectus,’ as part of joint efforts to enhance investment literacy and raise awareness among investors of the fundamentals of investing in the capital market sector.

The workshop aimed to strengthen investment culture and raise awareness of the basics of reading and understanding prospectuses, by introducing the key information and data they contain and how to utilise them in evaluating investment opportunities.

It also addressed several topics related to reading and analysing prospectuses, including an explanation of financial statements, key financial indicators, and essential data that investors should review before making investment decisions, thereby enhancing their ability to assess investment opportunities and risks with greater awareness.

The workshop shed light on the significance of the prospectus as one of the key documents that provides investors with comprehensive information about the issuing company, its activities, financial performance, and plans, helping them make investment decisions based on accurate and reliable information.

It reflects the ongoing joint efforts of the Financial Services Authority, the Muscat Stock Exchange, and Muscat Clearing and Depository Company to enhance financial and investment awareness, and to equip investors with the knowledge and tools required for effective participation in the capital market sector.
