The Financial Services Authority (FSA), Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) and Muscat Clearing and Depository (MCD) have together concluded the ‘Financial Awareness Camp’, held in the Wilayat of Al Jabal Al Akhdar in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate from 8 to 10 October, as part of World Investor Week. The camp aimed to enhance Omani youth’s knowledge of securities markets and develop their skills in financial planning, data analysis and investment decision-making.

The camp targeted young Omanis interested in investment from across the Sultanate of Oman, offering an interactive educational experience that combined theoretical knowledge with practical application. The programme featured panel discussions and specialised workshops delivered by experts and specialists, alongside practical activities and realistic simulations that enabled participants to explore investment options and discuss the principles underlying financial decisions.

The programme focused on linking learning with practical experience by assigning participants tasks involving financial research, data analysis and the presentation of findings within teams. These activities helped strengthen their analytical thinking and ability to compare investment alternatives, while developing communication, teamwork and leadership skills, as well as their ability to allocate responsibilities and work collaboratively.
