FSA Objectives

FSA aims to achieve the following:

1. Setting out legislative and regulatory frameworks that realize appropriate environment for upgrading the regulated, supervised and organized sectors and activities and the services they render in the Sultanate of Oman and endeavor to ensure their independence, integrity, transparency and continued completion.
2. Dissemination of awareness among the segments of the community and consumers about the regulated, supervised and organized sectors, activities and the services they render through enhancing the knowledge of fundamental financial concepts and enabling access to essential financial services and their appropriate use.
3. Monitoring compliance of regulates, supervised and organized entities with legislative and regulatory frameworks it sets out and ensuring good performance.
4. Protecting the rights of investors and consumers with the regulated, supervised and organized entities from potential risks and act to strengthen the basis of sound and fair dealing with different categories of investors and consumers and protecting the confidentiality and privacy of their data.
5. Reinforcing the rules of professional conduct, self-regulation and discipline among all regulated, supervised and organized entities.
6. Effective participation in achieving the objects of development plans and national strategies.
