The Financial Services Authority is participating in the Oman Health Conference and Exhibition 2024 during the period 23 -25 September at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre within its endeavors to enhance digital transformation via Dhamani Platform.
FSA participated in the events of the first day in a discussion session on enhancing investment in healthcare sector and the pivotal role of the health insurance sector in supporting investments. The Acting Director of Health Insurance Department and in charge of Dhamani Platform represented FSA.
The discussion session dealt with the role of health insurance in financing health services through the contribution of insurance companies in providing compensation for private healthcare institutions and individuals in consideration of payment of insurance premiums. Insurers paid to healthcare institutions RO 171 million for treatment services for the insured.
FSA participated with Dhamani Platform which is an official platform for exchange of health insurance claims among insurance companies and more than 50 private hospitals. Work is currently underway to connect healthcare policlinics and clinics. The Platform aims to provide quality insurance services and raising the level of transparency and accuracy in all transactions as well as providing data on the market conditions.
