The Financial Services Authority (FSA) held a specialised workshop on Judicial Enforcement Status, attended by 35 authorised regulatory officers of the FSA who have been granted such status. The workshop aimed to strengthen supervisory and regulatory performance by raising legal awareness and enhancing their competence in handling violations and related procedures, in line with the FSA’s supervisory role and its commitment to ensuring compliance with the legislation governing the non-banking financial sectors under its supervision.
The workshop was presented by a representative from the Public Prosecution. It provided comprehensive coverage of the legal framework governing judicial enforcement status, with a focus on the crucial role of authorised officers in enforcing laws and safeguarding public order. The sessions also reviewed the scope of powers granted to such officers, the legal limits on their exercise, and the responsibilities arising therefrom, with a view to building a solid understanding of sound judicial practices.
The workshop featured interactive discussions, during which participants raised interventions and questions addressing practical and applied aspects, contributing to a deeper shared understanding of the concept of judicial enforcement status and the mechanisms for its implementation within the FSA’s remit.
