The Capital Market Authority’s participation in the 13th Forum of the College of Law, Sultan Qaboos University highlighted the role of CMA in the regulation of the capital market and insurance sectors. The participation received great interest on the part of the students who attended the Forum which was held under the auspices of HE Dr. Ali Saud Al Bimani, Chairman of Sultan Qaboos University.
The Forum included a number of activities and programmes of legal nature such as the “Law Village” which deals with various branches of law such as penal law, labour law, constitutional law, international law, commercial law, telecommunication law and personal status law. Each part of the village presented specific legal issue to communicate the legal message to the attendants. The Forum also included an exhibition of legal institutions and concluded with the a seminar on electronic crimes.
