The CMA Participates in The SQU Career Fair by Providing Training Opportunities in Insurance Companies and Workshops On Accounting and Insurance
The Capital Market Authority (CMA) participates in the SQU Career Fair by presenting a number of practical training opportunities offered by insurance companies; which are suitable for graduates of accounting, finance and different management sciences. The CMA’s Participation also includes providing many practical and professional programs and workshops as part of the Tamkeen Initiative; which endeavors to empowering national cadres in the field of insurance within the annual plan set by the CMA.
The CMA is keen to participate in this interactive event; which is awaited by a large group of graduates and job and training seekers; to shed light on its Omanization initiatives and programs that target various job positions in insurance companies and capital market institutions. This is achieved through participating by Tamkeen Initiative that aims at enhancing Omanization percentages in the managerial and occupational job positions, whether operational, middle or senior.
The training programs and opportunities are mainly focused on the fields of law, administration, finance and accounting and they come within a series of an integrated plan for national cadres’ qualification to enable them to compete and occupy the best job levels. This eventually results in achieving the targeted percentages on an annual basis in all three job levels.
Notably, Tamkeen Initiative contributed to increasing the Omanization percentages in the insurance sector by more than 83%. Omanization percentages in the operational job level increased to 90% at the middle managerial and occupational levels to 78.3%. As for senior managerial and professional levels, the percentages rose to 59.18% in contrast to the year 2017 where it did not exceed 25%.
