The Capital Market Authority represented by the Stock Market Magazine organized a workshop on Small and Medium Enterprises and their role in economic development in line with the Government’s policy to enhance the role of SME’s in the national economy to be able to create jobs and to compete locally and internationally.
The aim of the workshop is to spread the culture of entrepreneurship and to change the widely spread concept among the youth of working for the Government institutions.
A number of academicians and interested persons participated in the workshop including Khalifah Said Al Abri, Acting Executive President of the Public Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises, Engineer Tariq Suliaman Al Farsi, Executive President of Rafd Fund. Ahmed Said Kashoub, Economic Expert, Dr. Naser Rashid Al Mawali, Mohammed Said Al Abri, Acting Director General of Capital Market Institutions, CMA, Ahmed Suliaman Al Qassabi, Acting Director General of Issues and Disclosure, CMA. The workshop was managed by Ahmed Ali Al Maamari, Acting Director General of Insurance Supervision.
The activities of SMEs are considered one of the most important issues of concern for the economic sectors as the movers of economic development and nourishing the large institutions.
