The Capital Market Authority has participated in the 12th meeting of the heads of GCC Securities Commissions on Monday 4 May 2015 in Qatar.
The Sultanate’s delegation was chaired by HE Abdullah Salim Al Salmi, Executive President of CMA and the comprised Sayyid Hamid Sultan Al Busaidy, Director General of Support Services and Acting Director of Oman Centre for Corporate Governance and Sustainability, Ahmed Ali Al Makhaini, Expert at Oman Centre for Corporate Governance and Sustainability and Munir Salim Al Hanaei, Senior Director of the Department of Investigation and Enforcement.
The meeting discusses the key resolutions of the Supreme Council in respect of economic and development issues resolved in its 35th session as well as the results of the meetings of the Initial Offerings Work Team, the results of the Supervision and Regulation Work Team in addition to the key development on the memorandum of understanding between the regulators of GCC stock markets. They meeting also discussed the topics proposed for the joint meeting of governors of monetary institutions and central banks and the Ministerial Committee of the Chairmen of Securities Commissions.
