CMA Organize Training Programme on Underwriting Skills and Pricing in General Insurance
The Capital Market Authority has organized two programmes for the national cadres working for insurance companies and brokers on underwriting skills and pricing in general insurance with the participation of 60 employees as part of the training series conducted by CMA to acquaint the national employees with technical skills and knowledge required to perform their works efficiently.
The first programme aims at qualifying the employees with underwriting skills such as basics of underwriting and instruments while the second aims to acquaint the trainees with non- life insurance products and pricing mechanisms of such products as well as the type of involved coverage and its importance in the economic and social environment.
The move comes as part of CMA’s strategic plan to enhance the levels of Omanization in the insurance sector “Enabling In Insurance Sector” which will be rendered during this year as continuation of the training programmes CMA has started in 2015 which resulted in training more than 400 employees as part of the enabling strategy of Omanis in administrative and technical jobs which rely on Omanization based on training and equipping the employees with the required skills and knowledge for further competitiveness to attain medium and high level jobs rather than staying in operational jobs.
