CMA signed MOU with the Financial Services and Supervision Committee of the Republic of South Korea in the margin of the fifth session of the meetings of the mutual Oman-Korea Economic Committee. The MOU was signed by H.E. Abdullah Salim Al Salmi, the Executive President of CMA.
It is aimed through this MOU to exchange information and get cooperated in various fields due to the international increase in financial activities and other financial instruments, and for the need of mutual cooperation, deliberation and support in order to develop and upgrade financial markets.
It is worth to mentioned that such MOUs effectively contribute to promote legislative infrastructure regulating securities markets, and expose to experiences with investment tools, their regulations and clearance and depository regulations. They also provide an opportunity to get benefit from regulative mechanisms of companies operating in securities field, and to develop brokerage profession in order to reduce prohibitive practices and other matters related to developing capital market performance.
CMA represented by International Cooperation Department signed this year three MOUs with; Insurance Authority of Tunisia, Egyptian financial Supervisory and the financial Services Commission.
